01Acceptance of these terms

By using FastChart you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We have tried to keep the language plain rather than legalistic; if anything here is unclear, email service@fastchart.org and we will explain it.

02What the service is

FastChart is a free, browser-based chart generator. You paste tabular data, the site draws a chart, and you can export it as a PNG, SVG or PDF file. There is no account to create and no subscription.

All parsing and rendering happens inside your own browser. This means the service works without uploading your data, but it also means the results depend on your browser and device.

03Your data and your charts

You keep all rights to the data you paste in and to the charts you produce from it. We claim no ownership of either, and we never receive a copy of your data.

You may use the charts you create for any lawful purpose, including commercial and published work — reports, articles, presentations, dashboards, books and client deliverables. No attribution to this site is required, and there is no watermark or export limit.

Because your data never reaches our servers, we cannot recover a lost chart, retrieve a previous version, or export anything on your behalf. Save your work locally.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site to create charts that are unlawful, defamatory, or that misrepresent data with intent to deceive or defraud.
• Attempt to interfere with, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the site or the infrastructure it runs on.
• Use automated systems to scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other people.
• Republish the site itself, or a substantial copy of its pages and content, as your own competing service.

05Advertising

The site is free and is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. By using the site you accept that ads will be displayed, and that Google may set cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not control which specific ads are shown and do not endorse the products or services advertised. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser.

06Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available and fast, but we provide no uptime guarantee. We may add, change or remove chart types, export formats or other features at any time, and we may suspend the site for maintenance without notice.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.

07Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a chart will render identically across every browser, device or print pipeline. You are responsible for checking that a chart accurately represents your data before you rely on it or publish it.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of your use of or inability to use the site.

This includes decisions made on the basis of a chart produced here. A chart is a visual summary of numbers you supplied; verifying those numbers and the conclusions drawn from them remains your responsibility.

09Governing terms

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
